Spencer Fire/Rescue and Richfield Fire/Rescue have signed an Automatic Response Agreement.
10/05/2009 Spencer Township, Richfield Township Trustees and Fire Chiefs have signed an Automatic Response Agreement. This agreement will provide both townships with better coverage and quicker responses, as Lucas County 911 will dispatch both departments simultaneously on all Motor Vehicle Collisions and Structure Fires.
This will enable multiple resources to arrive on scenes quicker and provide better fire protection, suppression, and EMS care and give us the opportunity to back fill our station with Richfield’s apparatus and personnel to cover our township in the event that we are aiding another department
FEMA awards Spencer Fire and Rescue $30,562 from the Assistance to Firefighters Grants Program.
The Money will be used to purchase a generator to keep the fire station operational during power outages
